![]() ![]() 4D (3D BIM + Schedule)Our BIM Planning experts will help Contractors to identify conflicts in “traditional” construction schedule, suggest ways to optimize it, and establish link between BIM model and construction programme. We employ the best software for the purpose and became partners with the leading industry software vendors. We employ Vico-Trimble software for 4D Scheduling and 5D Estimating. Case studies show that construction programme can be improved by applying Location Based Scheduling (LBS) technique by average 10% (comparing to traditional Critical Path Method). LBS utilizes Flowline diagram as opposed to traditional Gantt chart. This allows easy identification of schedule conflicts (when too many resources allocated to the same location, or when location is available, but no resources assigned to that location). ![]() Example of Flowline Diagram showing scheduling conflicts (red circles), and ineffective use of time (blue ellipses). “90% of the construction companies in the United States are using CPM. However, questions arise over whether CPM focuses sufficiently on managing and monitoring resources. The CPM algorithm is designed primarily for optimizing project duration, rather than dealing adequately with the spatial resource constraints to ensure a smooth procession of crews from unit to unit with minimal conflicts and idle time for workers and equipment. LBS focuses on production efficiency as resources move through locations. The methodology is based on tracking continuity of crews working on production tasks.” (American College of Construction Lawyers, ‘A Comparison of Location-Based Scheduling with the Traditional Critical Path Method’, January 27, 2012). ![]() Example of traditional Gantt Chart construction program. ![]() Example of 4D animation of construction sequencing. ![]() |
