Vladimir is the founder of Salimus Consultancy, multidisciplinary sustainability consulting company in Dubai, UAE. Vladimir has over 10 years of experience designing and managing MEP projects. He is well versed in HVAC, plumbing and energy analysis.
Moving to UAE he has taken an active part in the local sustainability movement and was instrumental in development of ESTIDAMA rating system for the Government of Abu Dhabi. Prior to founding an engineering consultancy business in Dubai, Vladimir worked as an Associate Planner for Urban Planning Council in Abu Dhabi. His responsibilities included development of ESTIDAMA rating system in particular energy and water sections as well as working with the Development Review team in reviewing the proposed developments and ensuring that the energy and water resources are adequately addressed in the design. Other assignments in UAE included working for the contractor in setting up Sustainability Unit and LEED certification of the project as well as major UK consultancy in facilitating sustainable approach for the design teams in a frame work of LEED in Dubai.
"Working for the government helped me establish close ties with all government organizations, and understand the need for the specialized sustainability service with the particular emphasis on energy and water conservation not only in the new or proposed developments but for the existing building stock. Being trained as an Energy Engineer and Certified Energy Manger I hope to share my expertise with the region."
