Al Habtoor City (formally Habtoor Palace Hotels Project)

Scope: Sustainability Consulting (LEED for the main contractor - HLG). The project consists of a single development comprising of three individual 5 star hotels: 1. Luxury Hotel (Westin) with three Basements, Ground, Mezzanine, six upper floors and a roof garden. 2. A Fashion Hotel with three Basements, Ground, Mezzanine, five parking levels and twenty seven upper floors with one technical floor and roof 3. One Main Hotel (St. Regis) with three Basements, Ground, Mezzanine, five parking levels and thirty five upper floors with two technical floor and roof. The development accommodates 1384 hotel guest rooms and 239 suites. The development also encompasses a Las Vegas inspired water platform and extensive gardens surrounding the buildings. LEED Certification The sustainability target for this project is to achieve LEED Gold certification. Salimus Consultancy JLT main scope is to develop the LEED Action Plan for the Contractor and to: • Implement the LEED prerequisite and targeted credits at the commencement of the construction phase • Enforce on the procurement stages the requirements of the targeted LEED credits • Enforce in all the methodologies of the various construction activities • Compile throughout the construction period all the documentation that is required to achieve the various targeted LEED credits • Seek clarification / advice from USGBC in the form of CIRs when and if necessary (and approved by the Client) • Submit the construction stage credits to USGBC as compiled by each discipline head and in accordance with LEED administrator credit assignment.
